I bought one from a swapmeet and it does not line up with the holes in the bedrailes or running boards? I sure as h--l don't want to make any new holes.
help would be greatly appreciated....

A 1953 side-mount spare-tire carrier (first year it was an option on an Advance-Design truck) should fit your 1950 bed (the 54/55 will not attach correctly to an earlier bed rail). The side-mount spare tire-carrier does not attach to the running boards - it attaches to the driver's side bed rail and to the bed side. I have a spart tire frnder from a 1957 3200. All of the fender holes line up great. I just want to be sure there is no difference before I go through the trouble of changing it over. Currently the 1958 has a complete under bed spare tire set up. Thanks Again.
