I have a 1961 Chevy Half Ton, I found a killer deal on a complete running donor truck that I would like to get to swap into my truck. Here are the details on the truck.

Model year: 1983
Drive: 2WD
Engine: 454 V8
Series: 1 ton (30/35)
Body: Four-door cab
Plant: St Louis
Serial #: 527200

Has anyone made a similar swap into their truck? Will the BB fit into my truck without major modification? How much harder than a small block swap would this be?

Thanks,

Kyle

Is there somewhere that I can buy BB motor mounts to put in my truck?

You have torsion bars and X frame. These are problems if you try to use after market parts, since few are available. Call Chevy Truck Parts in Denver: owner Rich Sisneros 719-250-5057 and ask about original mounts and manifolds.
