Just off idle response is terrific, no more black smoke, certainly better than my bad old B. I am having a problem with the choke. The YF did not come with any bracket for the choke/throttle cables. I pulled the bracket off the B and with a little grinding it fit on the carb. I cannot get the choke to fully close(Open?). The choke plate will not rotate more than about 20 degrees. It looks like there is a rod that goes from the throttle linkage to the choke linkage and this is keeping it from working properly. I won't be able to look at it again until tonight, but I'm searching for any ideas or experiences.

Often the choke bracket is left on the vehicle, as it is easier to undo the one screw holding the bracket to the carb than to undo the choke linkage. About half of the carbs we receive are missing the bracket.

When the choke butterfly is closed, the rod operates a bracket surrounding the throttle shaft, which rotates against the throttle positioner screw, opening the throttle and thus providing for a faster idle while the the choke plate is closed. Assuming you have a complete everything correct carb, this rod will not interfer with the choke closing.
