My work continues on my truck and I'm just about ready to remove the cab from the frame to head to the "dip" shop. The only thing left is to remove the steering column. I've got things loosened/apart on the inside of the cab and I've got into the steering gearbox but there is something keeping me from being able to pull the wormgear out. Any help would be much appreciated!!! | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | The column does not come apart from the box. You'll have to remove the entire box to get it out. Also, if you are planning to overhaul the steering box, the wormshaft actually comes out from the bottom after the lower bearing cover is removed.
