It is the original tank and it has an 1/8" pipe nipple coming straight out the bottom of the tank. Then the shut off valve, this is where the flexible fuel line connects. In the bottom of this brass fitting is a plug which can be used to drain the tank. I didn't have a problem with the nipple leaking but the shut off valve was dripping. I finally got the packing nut tight enough to stop the leak.
I would use Teflon tape on the threads of the nipple before I screwed it into the tank and on the other end of the neipple before I screwed anything on to it. | | |
