You can get those from several of the vendors who deal with old GM truck stuff, including our sponsor, American Classic. | | |

I do know that some of the on-line vendors carry them, but I would look for a different parts store. One of the "mom & pop" kind. Napa will be able to fill your needs, but they are usually on the high end of the price range. For my 3/4 ton I got Gabriels, the fronts were in stock, the rears had to be ordered from Gabriel's classic line.

I just put new shocks on the front of my truck. I got them from my local NAPA, they were able to find the correct ones in their manuals. I still have the box at home so I can get back at you with a part number if you're interested. By the way the price was less than the catalogers and no shipping to pay!

It would be helpful in an instance just like this. If guys go through the time and trouble to dig up a shock part number at NAPA, then post the part numbers here for all to use...

They were in the cross referance book. It only went back to '54, and only listed for GMC, but they were the same. They were about $15 each. Sorry, I don't have the number anymore. They are nice though.
