got a 1978 chev 350 4bolt out of a van that i'm having rebuilt for my 49.engine was partialy disassembled when i bought it and didnt notice til much later there was no balancer.best as i can figure its an 8" according to autozone and about $60. at you pull it its $12.what yrs will i need to look for ? thanks .........dave

Any 8" on a small block 350 will fit. Make sure the rubber looks good & is not coming out.

A new one is cheap insurance. A broken crankshaft or incorrect ignition timing because of a slipped outer ring will eat up the cost saving of buying somebody else's junk in a hurry!
