I got the tech tip on doing this conversion. I can kit the bracket and was going to get the dual master "1973 to 1977 GM" from the local car quest however we are wondering which one to use. Has any one out thier done this conversion on a 55 2nd 3/4 ton and if so which master cylinder did you use i.e. part number or year and model.

If you are referring to the tech tip I wrote, it's pretty well laid out. I can't imagine the 3/4 ton being much different from the 1/2 ton.

As far as I know, there are only 2 master cylinders for that era truck, manual and power. I went with manual.

Your tech tip is great! The local car parts guy had questions I did not have the answer to. Americanclassics is selling a complete kit for the 3/4 ton I think I will use. I was just curious if any 55 ¾ ton 2nd series trucks have actually done the conversion.
