I hope I'm going to reach all concerned as I think I've solved my problem with new seats in an old classic. I purchased 6 way power seats for my burb and the main concern was how to access the rear seats. I searched the internet and came up with as everyone knows seats from earlier Broncos, Blazers, and Jeeps all tilt forward, but I don't think they allow enough room to get to the back and are hard to find. Well, I've come up with Jeep risers out of a Wrangler that collapse forward 10 inches. According to specs on the Suburbans, the passenger seat only tilts forward 10 inches to allow for rear entry. After collapsing the riser, if I need more room to access the rear I can use the forward button on the 6 way to slide the seat closer to the dash. Actually, this in theory as I haven't installed the seats yet. Just wanted to air my theory and let you know there's another burb in the works. I'm new at this and I haven't even posted a pic of my work in progress. I'll post pics when I install the seats. Good luck and Merry X-mas.

I'm in the same boat youo are; trying to find a way that uses modern seating but allows easy entrance to the rear 5 seats. I would love to know which risers from which model year wrangler you're using and also would like to see the pictures when you get them.

Thanks.

Guys Not sure if it helps but my 2004 suburban has a slide forward mechanism to help with entry to the rear seats. I've been working same concept in my mind but havent got that far yet. I wanted to use leather seats from 2000-2004 Chev truck/Burb but so far they are very hard to find or very expensive. Mor5984 what are you using?

I was hoping someone read my entry, I felt so alone. Ha, Ha. The risers I'm using you can get from any 4x4 outlet or junkyard, if they have them. In response to the use of 2004 Suburban seats, that would be great, but I don't think they slide forward enough on their own as I own a 2004 Suburban. Also, I used 2002 Ford Expedition Limited Edition leather seats, forgive me for not staying true to Bowtie, but the price($300), options(electric 6-8way, tilt-forward, heat), perfect leather, not a tear and rear seat with jump seat. Everything I needed and my wife to keep warm. As I said it's a work in progress and I'll post pics as soon as I can. As far as year of Wrangler, I don't know, but you can get them in the Wrangler or Jeep. Look at Telico 4x4 and look up risers and enlarge the pic and you'll get the idea. They collaspe forward, not tilt.

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you send a link to the picture you're referring to. I googled telico 4x4 and got a bunch of hits, but none with that in the URL.

Thanks

The web site is www.tellico4x4.com click seat and acc, then go to Jeep OE Seat brackets, or email me at [email protected] and I'll send you a picture. I'm OK with a computor, but if you get too technical, I'm lost (URL's, attachments, etc.) That's why I haven't posted in the gallery yet. Sorry, Rick
