I know there are some opinions out there. Currently have a rebuilt, rebuilt, rebuilt monoleak (get the idea?) on a stock 235. Anyone ever used a Carter YF from one of the specialty truck vendors? I hear they are a little more tuneable than the Rochester. Do they suffer from the same leaks around throttle shaft?

It had been flow bench tested and ran great out of the box. I'm not sure how tunable they are thou. I love it. I'm going to be replacing the 216 w/ a 235 and will be buying a YF from the same rebuilder for it. The one fro the 216 will be ava, contact me privately if interested.This is his e-mail. 1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.
