I was wondering about not using the booster for a while as well. I haven't searched other posts by you yet, but was this truck an emergency responder of some sort? Looks like it had a Federal Beacon up top, and is that a search light on the corner?
Being able to get in from above the drive-line is such a luxury. AND, I'm VERY jealous - I want one of the top-door mounted rear view mirrors. My fire truck had one, but it's long gone, and I haven't seen any re-makes available.
