I'm going to have to remove all the crossmembers and put each of the frame rails in a press to straighten them. I need to know, are the sides of the frame rails supposed to run straight or do they have a curvature to them? in other words if I were to lay a bare framerail on its side, would it lay flat. also what other year frames have similar deminsions? anyone have any pics of straight frames?

I think the frame is shared with the same year car (master series) or so it seems the information I have read indicates that. Get yourself a HOLLANDER interchance parts manual or simply buy a interchange parts book for the chevy at the "FILLIN STATION". you will be amased at all the parts that can be interchanged between the 28 and 1952 chevys.
