It has a granny low 4 speed, and the reverse is to the left and down, but the shifter knob has reverse to the left and up. Wrong tranny or wrong knob?

| | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | I vote wrong knob. An SM420 does have reverse left and down, and that would be the correct std trans for a '56. Sounds like it has a knob for a later SM465.
