Question? Has anyone swapped out the babbet rods to the machined insert bearing type rods in their 216? If so, what connecting rod to crankshaft clearance did you establish? My guess-ta-mation is .001 minimum to .0015 maximum, am I guessing right?

I had mine machined to take inserts and they worked out very nicely. I think those numbers that you mentioned are good guide lines.
