Looks like it has a faily new Goodwrench 427 with a 5+2 driveline.
It appears to be an old county road maintenence truck.
There are two mystery hydraulic hoses hanging out the back with quick couplers. What could this be for?
The VIN is 1GDL7D1B1BV558313.
I have a call in to the seller waiting for a response.
Anything I need to look out for???

If there are three hoses at the rear it would be to operate a tailgate slip in box spreader that has a motor to run the auger and another to run the rotary slinger. The third is the common return line. Somewhere on the truck you'd find a flow control valve to regulate the speed of the motor(s). As your in TX it is possible that the equipment might have been a conveyor for shoulder work or even a hydraulic tool circuit. Hood opens, no tilt. No one around when I was looing at it so I didn't want to look too long.
Tires are much larger than my C60 and had lots of rubber left.
Body was straight/rust free, Seat was toast, dump bed could use paint. I didn't notice any major fluid leaks. Brake and clutch pedal and steering felt tight.

Start it and drive it some to see if the alternator is charging, what temp the engine gets up to and how it handles.
After you turn the engine off watch the air pressure, it should not drop noticably. I am pretty sure it has air brakes.
You should not need a CDL since it is for personal farm use.
I registered my '77 GMC 6500 as a farm vehicle and got insurance from Progressive Commercial because my auto insurance company only insures up to 1 ton vehicles.

The '77 GMC 6500 tilt-cab dump truck I bought a while back does. Mine has a 427 also and the air compressor is mounted on the right side of the engine.
Mine has an air chamber behind the rear axle on each side.

I will take a few more pictures and post them.
When I bought the Jimmy I was looking for a pre 73 big bolt dump truck.
I am going to use it around the farm and to haul some gravel and dirt now and then for family members.
Since I have had it I have decided to do a slow restoration as time allows when I am not working on restoring my "71 C-10 farm truck or building my wife a 16 ft by 24 ft craft/sewing room.
