I need to find a reputable dealer who can get me a passenger side window for a 1947 Advance Design cab. I've been told it's better to get the glass from an actual auto parts dealer rather than a typical glass man. Does anybody have any recommendations or words of wisdom for me? I am in Illinois, if that makes a difference for who to go to.

Hey Jared: I bought my replacement glass from Tucker's here in Las Vegas. It is good glass and it fits perfect. Don't forget the sealant tape for the bottom of the glass.

I was planning to get mine from Classic Parts but I'll be watching this thread for more opinions.

I got mine from the local glass shop, no complaints here on the fit or quality. As long as it's auto glass and the framesare in good shape, there shouldn't be any issues at all.

I agree with Longbox55. I replaced all the glass except the rear window. I purchased one vent, and one door glass online. Kinda pricey. I took the original glass plus the new replacement to a glass company. They took one look at it and said no problem you want clear laminated glass, and how many? I purchased the driver side window for 28 bucks, and they cut the vent out of a portion of the unbroken original side window for 5 dollars. Where I live they even offered the green tinted or smoke tinted glass for a few bucks more. So I am happy with the results. They even pitched in the setting tape for free.

Same here. I also got my windhsild from the same company, got it including installation for what it would cost just to get the glass.

Does LMC come with the complete installation kit? I am a newbie at glass work and don't want to screw it up.
