Does anyone know if the chassis is exactly the same on a 1960 Chevy and on a 1960 GMC? Slight differences or major differences or no differences?

I am assuming that GMC frames are the same as Chevy from 1960 to 1962. But I really don't know, so I am assuming...

anybody know? any GMC guys who can enlighten me?

thanks,
Brian

Not real sure on a '60, but on half tons to '66, maybe later, Chevys usually have rear coil springs and GMC have leafs.

Chevs and gmcs were built on completely different assembly lines up to 67. The frames are similar but not at all the same.

I'm certain that there's differences in the engine mounts and the torsion bars due to the different engines. Especially considering the weight of the GMC V6.
