For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 33 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 33 | Does anyone know the actual weight of these vehicles? The Gross vehicle weight is 4800lbs. The reason for the request is making the decision on wether to go Leaf Spring Kit, 4 Link, Corvette or other. Lots of the pickups are using Corvette 4 Link.

That's a little heavier than the Corvette's rating but not enough I'd rule it out on that basis unless you plan to use this truck to haul cargo.
Another concern would be how stout the differentials you consider are. Now all Corvette differentials are all that stout. If you get the Dana 44 you're probably good, but the Dana 36 would make me nervous in a truck.

The 3500 pounds is for the variant that has the original cast-iron Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Most of the 3100s would be around 3250 or 3300 before fuel is added to the tank.
