When the gas cap is removed the air getting sucked in is strong and the tank pops back out. I am assuming there is a vent or return line to alleviate this but not sure.

I've ordered a new cap so we'll see if it makes a difference.

The 71-72 had a tube that ran up the right corner of the cab & looped back down & out the bottom. If you don,t have the vented system drill a small hole in the cap. That pressure is dangerous.
