My grandfather passed 2.5 yrs ago and left a Viking 40 and Viking 60 behind. I am considering the use of one or both to pull a 10,000 lb Bobcat.

I'm curious if anyone is still using a Viking 60 and/or Viking40 as a productive daily work truck?

I would work them both. . . just not in the salt and keep them clean. . . the V-60 will be a much more workable truck for trailor pulling and such , the V-40 will be a nice stout put on it's bed and run truck, It'll do some trailor towing fine. . .

I'm not sure as to what year's your rig's are but i'm running truck's as old as a 1959 MACK B61T. . .

I hitch it up to a lowboy load a D9 cat on her back and run 67mph all day long super lugger's whining, dual stack's rapping it's a site to see. . .

when running relic's in professional work it's good to keep them clean and shiney i wash and wax my truck's regularly. . .No leak's No dent's No scratches No rust.
ONLY I run the old truck's tho I have let other's drive them. . . they are all summer use only as well. . .
any scratches or ding's are fixed ASAP! anybody caught beating an old truck get's a beating them selves I used say such thing's as " you should seen the last guy that beat that truck not much left of him! " all the guy's take the joke as a funny but they do respect the classics. . .I have been quoted as saying " I [censored] you off ? well wanna get back at me Go Blow up a new truck "

I rather have the employee's drive the truck's with warrenty's common part's stocked in local parts store or dealership's service center. . .

have a frind using a 60 66 daily in his bobcat business. he doesn't pull the trailer with it. just uses it to haul the removed material. click on the first link and go to the myjunketc album. it,s the nice looking green and white one. he has since added 18" inches to the bed to give it a more balanced look. he likes it better than his newer equipment.
