Hello, Do any of you guys know what a feller could use to replace the RED and Green lenses in the dash cluster on a 64? You know the OIL, GEN, turn sig..etc? I have my dash cluster apart and see that they are some very thin colored plastic parts. Where to get them or what I could use to replace them would be my question. I am assuming that you would want something that won't melt too quickly.

I used translucent colored construction paper from Hobby Lobby, it was the plasticized stuff, kinda has a sheen to it

You can also go to a good pro-audio music shop and ask for the filter gels that bands use for their stage lighting. A brand named Roscoelux is one that offers a diffusion material that is very close to the original "textured" looking surface of the stock lenses. Maybe the drama dept at your local school would have some also. Only problem-- expensive, but very heat resistant!

20” x 24” sheet, $5.45, that’s cheap enough and you could supply the whole neighborhood with that much material. Probably cost you more to ship it than the material costs.

I just went to the hobby shop, got a sheet of .010" clear sheet plastic and some transparent paint (I used blue in mine). A couple of coats of the paint, a little epoxy, and presto! New lenses, and cheap, too. If you wanted something a little more translucent, you could use sheets with a slight texture to them, or possibly a .005" white styrene sheet. That's thin enough to let light through, but has a slight texture to it.
