I was going to paint it High gloss bright red. . . but what about a Red camo paint job ? they got green camo grey camo brown camo flat green flat tan. . .they did paint a few unit's RED. . .

How would i go about Red camo ? mix light and dark red's with few spot's of pink ? maybe a little black and grey ?

Original paint plan:
RED:
cab, hood, fenders, springs, drive shaft's,and fifth wheel hinge.

Black:
frame, axle's, hub's diff's grill, and the softop black with red stiching same as the apolstery. . .

Now:

i'm thinking of doing all that the same but doing RED CAMO on the body ! would look more less like a code red mountain dew can. . .

I was staring at my truck last night and i realized it's going to look funny if every thing is painted steal that having them 2 big stainless stack's running up the side of the cab . . .

what about running dual stainless air cleaner's like the old KW's, than having a stainless grill welded up with stainless bumper's ?

the only thing that maybe an issue that way is RED RIM's they don't make stainless, aluminium,or crome rim's in 24x10 with the HEAVY equipment 10bolt. . . could these rim's be stripped down and crome plated ?

I think that this combination could end up being a real head turner. Although, I think that I would try and avoid any pink shades.

Sounds like a great challange. Go for it !! The worst case is you will need to resand and paint again. Nothing tried is nothing accomplished. Enjoy and have fun and go for it.

started Buying it's painting supply's for this project i brought photo's to the supply store so they could guess about how much i need.
the one auto body supply is just on the edge of town should have seen the look on there faces when I pulled in with the old M123. . . grin and asked about paint cool

I think they saw more $$$$$ than anything really. . .

But they are going to mix up some light paint's with a specail Military paint compound's to resist rust, corrion, and cemicail attack's. . .more $ $ $!

I'll start dissasembly of the truck soon !

Mike you asked about chroming your rims i don;t see why it wouldn't work. but before you do research and find a good chrome shop i found one by trail and error the first shop i took stuff to messed it up so bad it was junk. i then found shop #2 close by where i live and they did all the chrome on a 69 serv-car for me and it turned out great and flairly resonable cost wise.also found out they did shop #1 chrome work that i did get back that wasn't messed up .. Later Earl

They are 24X10 HEAVY EQUIPMENT 10 LUG Dual Rear Wheel's like the Man lift's/skyjackers/RoadGraders only instead of single wheel they are dual. . .

so it would be the only crome set world wide i'm sure of that. but I'm hoping they might give a guy a deal as there will be 10 wheel's cromed. . .sorta of a high volume deal ?

I'm sure the crome shop is going see $$$$

good price ? bad price ?

I'm thinking even tho there test products look good i may run a test on the spare wheel. . .

I love that crome RED! Now that would make some Killer RED CAMO!
colors Light RED crome Medium RED crome Dark RED crome some of the black crome, with crom crom as the grey. . . than do the chassie and axle's with black crome rim's with crome crome oh WOW! i think the truck might become way to shiney! but the crome paint might save me so $ $ $ for the wheel's than I could have Crome bumper's and grill to match the dual stainless stack's and dual stainless air cleaner's. . .
