Is this a genuine GM HEI? Your rig must be converted to 12 volts already. This ignition systems needs full voltage, so dump any type of resistor, wire or ballast.
Wiring is a conventional switched ignition wire from key...on when ON. If you are careful, you can pull the old and stab the new and that part is done. Rotation and wire order are the same.
I'll assume you have done the necessary machine work on the distributor as a GM HEI won't fit unless modified. More help on the way.
