I'm running a stock rebuilt 292. All I've ever ran on it is the YF 3211 I had on my 235. Re-jetted & have tinkered with the met. rod height. Runs pretty good really, but I suspect there is something better out there. I'm sure this carb is too low a CFM rating. Anybody ran a Roch. like these came with & what would be a preferred one. Anyone used a YF off a 300 Ford, thats what I'm really wanting to try. All input appreciated. The 292 had a larger throat then the 250,s but most replacements have the smaller throat. THe big one is hard to find. I think the ford 300 YF would be good if you could make it fit. I think I would look a a 4 barrel manifold. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | |
