hey guys. thinking of putting in power windows. my regulators/rollers are shot and from what i have found a power kit is about the same price as redoing the original. has anyone done this on a 63 and retained the vent windows? if so chime in and let em know how it went. i am contempllating purchasing a flat glass kit off ebay for about $150 shipped

Troy,
Power windows can be installed with some work, but you will have to keep the vent window in order to use them.

There is a guy that has a '62 that has them, and he loves them. He mounted the switches under the dash.

Me I would use the switch that uses the window crank handles, and uses the existing hole. I have only seen the 1 piece window kits for the '64-66 trucks only.

I've been trying to figure out how to run 1 piece windows on a wrap around '60-'63 cabs without chopping the top, due to the "A" pillar's angle.

I've came up with some import rear windows that will "twist" the glass inthe door as it goes down missing the "A" pillar all together. But a tri-5 chevy rear window regulator should work, it works the same.

Thansk for the response. i want to keep the vent windows, no need to buy new glass, plus im on a budget. im assuming you would just swap out the old manual regulator for the new power one and wire it up. i assume you would still use the old side tracks and everything. still not sure what i would want to do for switches... right now the window crank always hits my knee so i may do away with them and go somewhere else with my switches... we'll see.
