| | | | Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 20 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 20 | I wrecked my 52 last year and ended up having to put a donor door from a 54 and new rear of passenger side of cab on it. New rubber has been installed. I cannot get the door to latch without slamming it hard, often repeatedly. Cracked my new glass. I have attempted to adjust the door latch mechanism but have not improved anything. What can I do to adjust the door and get it to latch securely and easily?

I went crazy with my '54, trying to get my doors to close right and it all seemed to have to do with the rubber ... the door rubber from Chevy Duty finally set me right: See My Notes -- Click Here The other thing was learning how to play with the door latches & strikers ...
