I remember the 8 track tape player and I also remember the reverb systems. What was the hiway hifi system?

A bit before my time, but I had an old Wollensack reel to reel tape recorder / player with a reversible head that acted as a 4 track in one direction or a 2 track for a bi-directional tape. Is that similar to what you are referring too?

If it ain't broke, take it apart and figure out why!

Well, now you have struck a nerve. Have any of you discovered the wonders of offshore "call centers" ? I had to endure that the other day to try and get my telephone line fixed!
