What's your opinion. I'm thinking of installing a radio in my 51 1/2 ton. I want to leave it 6 volt. I can either purchase a 6 to 12 volt conversion part or like my friend, install a tractor 12 volt under the dash and run the radio directly off of the 12v battery. As for cost, a conversion part is around $80 and a good battery I can get for around $45 to $50. Of course, you need an antenna and speaker. What are your thoughts? Also, where is the best place to purchase a conversion box if I do go that direction and where can I get one a little cheaper in price.
