im getting a radio from a 50 chevy pick up for my 51 truck, its complete unknown if it works or not i plan to get new lens, buttons, bezel ect, wheres the best place to have it checked out and restored at? im in texas

Dbone I know of a guy here in canada who does a good job. He charged me only $180.00 to have it cleaned and running . I'm on the west coast if you want his name let me know. I know he's a ways away but he's good . He even put a jack on it so you run a portable cd player through it. Peter

Dbone had mine done local buy a guy in startvile. doesn't advertise, works on table and auto tube radios. Douglas Wright 830-905-3050. he was recomended by the San Antonio vintage radio club. hope this helps.

Dont know if you are still looking for a restorer for your radio, but you might want to check this guy out- http://taymanelectrical.com/

He can restore your am to original or add fm to it. Everything looks original after hes done.
