From Donnie:

HEY GUYS! I am a Police Officer in Austin, Texas and have been involved in show cars with my Dad for years. I have always loved the look of these old Stovebolts.

I was looking for a great old truck to restore when I came across this 1951 Chevy 5 window in great shape. Except for two dented front fenders it's perfect. Dents can easily be pushed out.

It has the original 216 with 3 on the tree.

I plan to totally restore this 5 window truck to all original except for adding a Vintage Air system and upgraded hi-way gears. It will be my everyday driver. I will be posting lots more pics. I'm also planning on restoring the 216 with updated bearings. The truck will be original Navy blue with gray interior, and 16 inch wheels.

This is gonna be alot of fun working on the old Stovebolt with my two li'l boys, 9 and 5. I've got a bunch more pictures set up on PhotoBucket!

Thanks for all the input guys. This site and all its folks, guys and gals rock. I love working on this ol' truck and gathering its parts. I turned my boys loose (along with a neighborhood buddy) on the truck with scrapers a little while back and believe me, old grease and dirt went a flyin'. I thought their Mom was going to stroke!

           Keep up the great work
