if you are talking about the AD radios, there is no difference other that what you have mentioned. However, if the vibrator has been replaced with a solid state one, it will be specifically for negative or positive ground. I know you can get a Chevy to work in a GMC and it will look the same from the dash if you change the dial. I just wondered if they are the same chassis and components. Don't know why it matters but I was looking to buy one for my GMC and thought I might as well get one from a GMC

I imagine that you know this already but you can buy the dial from many of the vendors. You can buy the dial, bezel, pushbuttons and knobs. The replacement dials have a different arrangement of the numbers and they don't line up with the actual tuner, too well. Other than that, they look really nice. | | |
