Was kicking around a junkyard today and found an old 50 somethng Chevy turck that had a radio in it. It fit the opening perfectly including melted knobs, but had no push buttons. Dial had numbers writen on diagnal. Under the dash was a large box with speaker and tubes which I guess was the heart of the radio. Wondering if this was some kind of period accesory radio. Anyone ever see one like this?

Thanks

If you are referring to a two piece radio, that would not be the one normally used in the 1950 truck. There were some GM radios of an older vintage with a two piece design and also the 1950 Chev car used a two piece design.
