This weekend I lost a rod in the 235 ruining the crank. I have an early 70s 292 I think I will put in the 48, will the S10 T5 bolt up to the 292. The T5 was used in an S10 pickup with 2.8 V6 engine.
I know the 292 will use any tranny the V8s use.

I am using a v8 bellhousing from a '55'59 Chevy truck and it is 1/2" shallower than the 235 one that I had my T-5 attached to. When I get a clutch set up in place, I will be able to see what mods (if any) will need to be done on the T-5 or bellhousing. I think that any mods will be minor in nature.
