What do you recommend? On a stock 6 volt system.. Also any tips on hooking up my 36 car radio to my 36 truck..(just got it retored)

wrinkle finish brown with speaker and radio in one box, and the dials (about five in. wide)
that go under the dash, as there isn't room in between glove comparment door and instrument piece to fit it into dash itself. It may not becorrect for the truck but I like the look of the radio with it's DELCO letters on yellow background. Guy that rebuilt it is a pro, but he was not cheap...290. to rebuild.

I picked up a 46 Chev radio this summer at a swap meet and it was painted in the brown wrinkle, as original I think. I am wondering if this was the same color as the dash, even though it goes behind the dash.
Do you think that your radio finish will be the same as your dash? | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 61 Member | | Member Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 61 | I'm not sure what the wrinkle color is..as I sent it back thinking I wouldn't do it,now I will reorder but it's in qt's no more spray cans are being made.. The radioman who rebuilt mine says he uses this dark brown wrinkle finish on his rebuilds, it matches 35,36.37' dashs...not sure about 42 dashboards.you will have to get engineering booklet on that.or VCCA guy to check on that. I was going to woodgrain dash, but will keep it original..hope this help you
