I've seen 9' beds on Chevy Longhorn pickups, built from around 1969-1972, but not at any other time, either fleetside or stepside! At what other period was a nine-foot bed available, and in what styles?

I'm assuming that the other years of the AD series had it available as well. Other than that, I don't know what years and/or series had it. He does not want a flatbed on it any more and is looking for a stepside. Dodge did make a 9' Utiline (stepside) bed, but those are few and far between! I had thought there were 9' GM stepside beds made, but I was not positive.

| | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | No 9' Fleet in '60-'66 either, in fact, there was no 1 ton Fleet until the 8 1/2' Longhorn came out in '69. Stepside beds remained at 9', though.

The same bed was used at least back to the mid-30's. I've also got an old ad from Oct. '31 that shows an "open express" (pickup) body on a 157" wheelbase.
