I bought the polished ss bed strips when I refinished my bed. I wanted to get the black powder coated strips, but MAR-K had just discontinued them. Can the SS strips be powder coated?

The short answer is yes. Our powder coater preferred coating stainless strips over the electrogalvanized steel material, and it made an excellent finished part. You still have rust protection even if the paint gets scratched. When we were getting strips powder coated, we often had stainless strips powder coated if they had slight imperfections that were unacceptable to be sold as polished stainless.

Can I get 10' long unpolished,with no holes, stainless strips for my flat bed?
About how much would they cost per piece?

We make extra long strips all the time. The only problem with those long lengths is they require special crating and they have to go by motor freight so the shipping cost is often pretty high. I suggest you send an email to [email protected] for pricing information.

We would be glad to punch bolt holes in them for you. Strips for a flat bed usually require a lot of bolts and you might ask them to price the strips both with and without holes. We can punch holes in them to match your specification. Of course if you are planning to have them powder coated, be sure to have all the holes in them before getting them coated.
