Fellas, a friend is doing a 216>235 swap. The 235 is from a 57. Are there clearance issues with that swap? Water pump ? Any input?

Water pump may be an Issue. I believe that some of the Exhaust manifolds output is different. Some are straight down and some are angled back. Other then that it should be a simple swap.

Good luck

You will need a short shaft water pump, the later 235 pump is different. Another problem is the carb linkage. If you have the 235 bellcrank and linkage it will be easier than adapting the 216 linkage.
