#31247 05/22/2003 3:27 PM | Joined: Jun 2001 Posts: 793 Bondo Artiste | | Bondo Artiste Joined: Jun 2001 Posts: 793 | I ordered new kings pins, tie rod ends, a drag link, 4 new shocks and all new tie rod end and drag link balls for my truck this morning. Any last advice before I lock myself in the garage for the weekend? That is if the parts come quickly. Anyway, hopefully this should make my truck nice and tight. I went ahead and ordered new brake shoes all around and I figured I might as well flush the old brake fuild out and put some new fluid in. I have read the tech tip on king pin replacement here on the 'bolt, but if anyone else has any tips or advice that would be great appreciated.

There is a good tech tip on it.

I'm worried that once I get it started I'm gonna need some weird part or clip or fastener or whatever. That is always my problem. What a waste of money. The springs were too long, making them worthless, and cups were not near the quality of the original, they were just pot metal, could be broken in my bare hands (by experience).
Otherwise an easy job, compared to other jobs, that is. | | |

I figured it would nice to have all new items, besides I really don't want to spend 2 hours rebuilding a tie rod end when I can have a new one in less time/hassle. Anyone else use the updated tie rod ends yet??
