I can get it home but it's not good for the clutch. I loosen the bolts on the linkage rods, screw around with everything and get it to work great again--for awhile. (I really don't know what particular thing I do to fix it) What's more likely? Do I need a new shift box or do I need to tear into the transmission?

Fixed my problem. Dutch

The shop manuel should give a gap spec for the forks & thickness on shifter lever. worth checking. Brad
