I have an
Edelbrock 1406 4bbl carb with an electric choke on my 350.
There's a wire that goes to the choke ... comes from any key-on power source.
The difference:
Manual choke must be operated by hand; a cable runs from the choke to your dash and you pull on the cable to add more choke; push it in when you don't need choke.
Electric choke operates automatically; no need to deal with it yourself.
TO ADJUST AN ELECTRIC CHOKE (Edelbrock):
1 - Warm up your engine to operating temp and remove the air cleaner so you can see the choke flap.
2 - Loosen the screws on the plastic choke cover and turn the cover clockwise (right) until the choke flap just BEGINS to close.
3 - Turn the choke cover COUNTER-clockwise (left) ONE notch and tighten the screws down.
