You basically need $1400 or so for the kit, a laptop to program the engine computer, an intake manifold that fits the throttle body (you could use a 4bbl carb manifold), and an ignition system that can trigger the computer (either HEI or a crank angle sensor). You will also need to install an oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold. It takes several hours of testing once you get everything installed to get the computer tuned right, but once you do you should be able to forget it. It would be a fun project. The Holley kit is usable with a turbo or supercharger if you change the MAP sensor.

(The ones with the inline 6 and port injection). Dont forget the sensors, harness, computer, fuel pump and fuel rails. I've not done this, but as many as I've worked on, shouldn't be impossible. Besides, PFI is always better than TBI!

I'm sure it could be done, but the injectors would be a tight fit. For a while, I thought about using three injectors that would each fire twice per cycle (this might work since no two cylinders that share a port fire sequentially), but I just decided that TBI would be much easier, and still be better than a carb. | | |

Here in Brasil we have the 250 with EFI for as much as 10 years. It's not just a 250 like the 60's carburated engines anymore, lots of small diff, one piece rear main seal, 6.000" long rods, individual ported (12 ports) head, )ports quite small) distributtorless ignition with coil pack and serpentine belt accessories drive system, and is a multi point sequential injection. At once I e-mailed some pics to Mechainiac, if anyone wants some pics I can also e-mail. The whole system looks good, is quite reliable, has a super cool split cast iron exhaust manifold, looking quite like a fenton unit. The kits are available, but the desirable option would be to swap an entire engine instead of trying to swap just the efi parts. The engines are quite plentiful and can be obtained for a reasonale amount of money. The only down is the freight to U.S.
