when did chevy go from "huck" brakes to the "bendix"-type brakes?

I believe GM switched to Bendix brakes in 1952. I have a 49 with Huck brakes and they need work. Luckly these parts can be had through the catalogs.

1951 was the transition year for Bendix style brakes on the 1/2 ton trucks and passenger cars.

i've got a 49 1T, it probably has huck-type too?

my neighbor has a 51 1 1/2T, i wonder what it has, he hasn't had to get into the brakes on his yet, the thing looks huge, the wheels and drums and such, i mean. thanks, again.
