Alright, I did not know were to put this topic but here it goes. I tried Hagerty.com for insurance. I have 4 old vehicles under 1950. what they offer is great. 245 bucks a year for all four. BUT the trucks I have, a 1949 chev 3800 and a 1937 chev 3/4 ton don't fall under the requirements as very good to excellent restore. Therefore they will not insure the trucks. These trucks are unrestored originals and might never see a restore, but I still enjoy driving them. Does anyone know of other insurance that works like Hagerty that will insure non-prestine trucks at a reasonable rate? I'm not knocking Hagerty insurance at all, there guidlines are stiff, but it is a good deal if you and your vehicle qualify.

I've always used Tri-State Ins. for my old trucks. Tri-State is now part of the Continental Western Group ( www.cwgins.com ) in Des Moines. My '40 1/2-ton is $91/year. Anything over $5000 in value they will want pictures of for their file. The coverage is excellent and even includes spare parts up to $500. Many of my friends in the midwest here use them also and have been very happy with them.

I am insured through USAA (my dad was a military officer so I can get coverage as his spawn), and I have my truck insured as agreed-upon value. It then can be used just like any other vehicle. I really like their service and price.

Try American Classic, They are the ones I Have through USAA also.
