The differance may be in the backspacing and the bolt hole size. Early wheels have less backspacing and the modern wheels may rub on the tie rod ends.

I measured a 1997 GM 6 bolt truck rim and the bolt pattern was differnt. :confused: It was close but didn't measure the same. Also the centre hole was differnt as well. If anyone has put a newer 6 bolt rim on i would like to hear about it please. thanks  | | |
