Is the tin plate on the right side of the engine that covers the lifters also taller? I have an engine I am going to get, but would like to know for sure what size it is. It has the same measurement on the tin plate as another 292 that I have, so I am thinking it is a 292. Thanks for any help. | | |

The easiest way to identify the 292 is the fuel pump in the center of the block and the right motor mount further ahead. The smaller sixes have the right motor mount in the center and the fuel pump further ahead. | | |
