I would like to use a hydraulic-activated clutch on my next project. I heard that in the late 50's Chevy trucks used hydraulic-activated clutches, is this correct?

The bellhousing for a '61-'62 truck or suburban with a 235 or 261 will fit, they had hydraulic clutches with the slave cylinder on the passenger side. You will need to modify the frame to use the '55- up rear mounts, if necessary, though.
