what other powerglide transmissions will bolt up to the 235- is there a aluminum 3 speed powerglide from the 60s that will bolt up? :confused: thanks Bill

Not without an adapter. Bell housing mounting is different. Later Chevy 6 is like a V8.

Frank 50---ok it is a 2 speed or get the adapter for the turbouglide?
They made aluminum and cast iron 2 speed powerglide that will bolt right up? the 235 came with an automatic in 54 cast iron. thanks for the info Bill

55 GMC,powerglides were all 2speed never a 3speed right up to there demise/replacement with the turbo350 in the late 60,s. the only diff was the early glides were all cast iron cases thru the 62 model yr.63 on had an aluminum case and had the same boltup pattern as a small block v/8. wink
