my 63 stepside has a 230 straight six that runs
great, the problem is that the the rear end
gears are 4;11's and it runs about 45 top end
how hard is it to switch gears where to get em
and whats involved.

If you have a 1/2 ton the easy thing to do would be to find a later rear end and swap out the pumpkin. I don't have the book to know just what is what. If you don't get a response here you might try the 47-98 truck board
