davidman Member D Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 14 Sunray Texas	Anybody know if the 12 bolt car and 12 bolt truck bare case is the same? I know the axel gears are probably different. Also am looking for one to change the 3:73 to a 3:08 in my 64 short wide

You will need a different carrier for the 3:08 as the width of the ring gear is different and the mounting surface for the ring gear ON the carrier have different measurements. Check facts on a ring and pinion website,,, west coast differential,,, randys ring & pinion... There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us. - - Be yourself. If you are ever lost, It will be much easier to find yourself if you know who you are!
