Where does the spare go on a 51 suburban?
I have noticed on a friends panel(49-50?) that the spare is at the rear bottom. It is held in place by a nut and "T" style bolt that is in place under the barn doors.
It also hase the rest of the bracket in place.

My question after inspection of my 51 suburban, Is that there is no hole under my barn doors to accomadate a bolt to go through.
So how or what type of bracket should I use?

I have the old spare tire bracket from the bottom of my 53 truck, Would that be the same for the suburban?

What have you done?

Javier, you are correct, the 48/50 suburban used a center mounted spare tire carrier that had a bolt that was accessible from the door opening. The later suburban used a carrier that was angled, the same one that was in a 1/2 ton truck.
